At an AI service

Only the bits one job needs, while it answers, under the terms our Privacy Policy names.

During testing these are free services that may learn from what they’re sent.
It answers, then forgets

No copy. No log of your words.

When a job needs a bigger AI, our server finds the few bits it needs in your notes, as you, and sends only those. It returns the answer and keeps none of it.

Built not to make things up

Four guards on every answer.

i.Checked firstEvery AI note and answer passes one set of strict checks, or it’s thrown away.
ii.Says what’s missing“Not in the source: the oven temperature.” It doesn’t fill the gap.
iii.From your notes, with sourcesA place, a price or a name in an answer has to be in the notes it cites.
iv.A second opinion on namesBefore Quern overrules what a name seems to be, at least two reliable public sources must agree.
Nothing changes behind your back

Quern suggests. You decide.

You confirm. A suggested space, a merge, a plan: each waits for your tap.
Undo is real. Every change is kept as a step, and every version of a note is saved until you delete it for good. AI history shows each time AI helped, with Undo.
Your writing is yours. A note you wrote never goes to AI unless you ask.

Your logins
Ask for your Instagram, YouTube or any other login.
Downloads
Download or replay someone else’s video. It keeps a note, with a link back.
Locked notes out
Send a locked note to any AI, or show its words in search, notifications or recent apps.
Keys in the app
Put AI keys in the app. It talks only to our own server.
Hidden instructions
Follow instructions hidden in something you saved. Saved things are only ever read.
Ads
Show ads, or sell your data.

If something you type looks like distress, Quern shows help lines instead of an AI reply. Quern isn’t a crisis service; in an emergency, call your local number.

Quick note
The first note, made the moment you share. Title, source and length, with no AI at all.
AI note
The full note that follows, shaped by what you saved. A recipe gets steps, a trip gets places by day. Marked with a small spark.
Source marks
Small numbers beside each part of an answer. Tap one to open the note it came from.
Not in the source
What Quern writes when the reel or page didn’t say something. It leaves the gap instead of guessing.
Blend
A note made of notes. Twenty Goa reels become one plan, and the originals stay as they were.
Sealed
Encrypted with a key only your phone holds. Today, locked notes are sealed, so even we can’t read them.
WHAT WE DON’T PROMISE

AI can still be wrong.

So every AI note is labelled and you can report one. While a job runs, the AI service sees the bits it was sent; we send as little as the job needs. Check anything that matters.
